Willie Hunter
Willie Hunter started training martial arts at the age of 3 years old under the tutelage of his father, Willie R. Hunter Sr.  Mr. Hunter has been studying martial arts for over 30 years.  Throughout his martial arts training, Mr. Hunter has also had the opportunity to work with and study under, Soke Kuniba, Brian Manna, Guru Richard Bustillo, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Pedro Sauer, Frank Cucci, Phil Miligarees and Harold Hankins. During his early years in the martial arts, Mr. Hunter was a national competitor.  One of Mr. Hunter's  most memerable competitions was the Ed Park International Championships. This Martial Arts Championship was made famous by the late Bruce Lee.  Mr. Hunter placed 1st in the nation at this event. Today, Mr. Hunter enjoys teaching, training, and mentoring his students and instructors. Mr. Hunter is often enlisted by the public and private school systems to speak on the topics of discipline, confidence, goal setting and the importance of a good education.



Jeffrey Hunter
Jeffrey Hunter started training martial arts at the age of 5 years old under the tutelage of his father Willie R Hunter Sr.  Jeffrey Hunter is a 4th degree Black Belt and the Head Instructor of TIGER Youth and Adult Striking Programs.  Mr. Jeffrey Hunter has trained and studied under Dan Inasanto, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Soke Kuniba, Eric Paulson, Guru Richard Bustillo and Harold Hankins.  Jeffrey Hunter enjoys studying Thai Boxing, Karate, Kali, and Jiu Jitsu. Mr. Hunter’s passions for the martial arts and the personal growth of his students, is what drives him to development himself so he may continue to impact others.




Paul Wilson
Paul Wilson has been training at TIGER Martial Arts Academy since 2000. Paul is a 3rd degree Black Belt and an accomplished competitor. He started teaching at TIGER at the age of 16 years old.  Paul is very passionate about the martial arts, and growth of his students.  He enjoys studying Thai boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Kali, and Karate. Paul is the Lead Instructor for the Youth Martial Arts and Adult Thai boxing programs.




Brandon Freeman
Brandon Freeman has been training at TIGER Martial Arts Academy since 1996.  Brandon is a Lead Instructor for the Academy’s Thai Boxing and Youth Jiu Jitsu Program. Students at TIGER not only enjoy Brandon’s high energy classes, they truly appreciate his passion for the martial arts and their success. Brandon has trained and studied under Ajarn Sirsute Chai, Pedro Sauer, Rener Gracie, Phil Miligarees, and Relson Gracie.  Brandon also has earned an Associate Degree in Business and Administration from Tidewater Community College.



Marc Rivera
Marc Rivera has been studying martial arts for over 15 years.  Mr. Rivera started training at LINXX Academy of Martial Arts in 1996. With a busy college schedule where Mr. Rivera earned a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Technology and his Black Belt from LINXX. Marc eventually moved to Suffolk Virginia and started training at TIGER Martial Arts Academy in 2007 and earned his 1st degree Black Belt in 2010.  Marc continues on the path of personal development and enjoys studying Thai Boxing, Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Marc’s experience and knowledge has allowed him to have a positive impact in the personal development of each and every one of the students the Academy’s Thai boxing program.


Steve Edwards
Steve Edwards began his martial arts training in 1995 at TIGER Martial Arts Academy. Steve is a 3rd degree Black Belt and trains in the Academy’s Thai Boxing and Combatives Program. As a student of the martial arts, Steve has a personal understanding of how martial arts can change one’s life. His goals as an Instructor are to help his students see the powerful benefits of martial arts training at TIGER.
